I love this spot and it has a special place in my heart especially after a long night of drinking!! I'm so sad that I live in So Cal now and I can't have this every weekend! My favorite things to get are the chicken pho and chicken porridge! It's very light and if you like chicken noodle soup...you'll love this spot! PS. It is in the Tenderloin but they're also on Uber Eats if you don't want to trek out there! They separate the noodles and the broth so it doesn't show up soggy! Enjoy!

This place never disappoints! It's been so long since I've been here and everything I love and miss about this place is still the same. Exactly how I remembered it to be, minus the crazy wait during lunch time on a Sunday. This is the best/freshest chicken you will ever find in SF, you can taste it! It will literally lift and heal your soul no matter what happened the night before lol. But this time, I was not hungover and it was still the best chicken pho! This is still one of my must visits when in SF after 20 years. Try it, only if you dare to fall in love

Walked in late afternoon looking for dinner with the fam. Smelled like pot when we walked in but it slowly dissipated. We ordered number 3 pho large and it was delicious. The meat was good quality and very tender. Noodles chewy and just enough to fill you up. My son got the chicken porridge and it had a hint of ginger that makes it very sumptuous. I got the grilled prom and rice plate and even though it was on the small side, the grilled pork was tasty and chewy. Best one I've had in a while... Also the best part of the dishes was the imperial rolls. Now keep in mind one roll is like 5 bucks so get the imperial roll with bun noodles. That's a better deal. But these rolls are freshly fried and they are light crispy and full of flavor! Def recommend these All in all it's been a while being here but thanks for staying solid turtle tower!

Definitely one of the higher quality bowls of pho that I've had in San Francisco. Even my dad, who isn't from SF and doesn't really know of any restaurants in the city, knows of this restaurant and how good it is. They specialize in Northern Vietnamese pho, which means that your pho won't come with the usual garnishes (beansprouts, jalapenos, mint, basil, lime). Nonetheless, the broth, the wide noodles, and the cuts of meat that they used all reminded me of homemade pho and it was delicious! The restaurant is very spacious and quiet. We had no trouble getting a table on the weekend. The service was good and the workers are very attentive. There is a narrow street next to the restaurant that you could possibly park in, but I'd suggest walking/taking public transport if you're able to. I would recommend Turtle Tower if you want a hearty bowl of pho, but also are open to trying pho that you are usually not used to.

I've been coming here for years and I can't believe I never wrote a review! A must-get here is their chicken pho. They use fresh pho noodles and the broth is very light and refreshing. A bowl of pho here is like getting a warm hug on a cold day. I've introduced many friends to this place over the years and they have never disappoint!

I absolutely love this place! If you love pho, I definitely recommend checking this place out. As one of the few places serving North Vietnamese cuisine, the pho here is not like your usual noodle soup. The broth has strong green garnish flavor and it's paired with wide noodles. I ordered the chicken pho and the rare steak pho, and both were absolutely delicious. The portion size is big too, and the staff here is so nice. The perfect place for a recovery meal or a pick-me-up.

I came here once years ago and this place is unforgettable! Different people I've met always rave about this place too. This restaurant specializes in the cooking style from Northern Vietnam! Typical pho or Vietnamese restaurants are typically basked in the cooking style from the Southern part of Vietnam. I love pho but in general, I prefer rice dishes over noodle dishes! So this time, I tried the congee or the chicken porridge dish. My friend's parents have made me chicken porridge before and I've been obsessed with it. This place tastes the exact same with their dish! It's a perfect meal for when you're sick or on a cold day. Friends also say getting the pho is perfect for a hangover!

Pho always hits the spot when the weather gets chilly. Came here during lunch and it was pretty full for a place that's not in the nicest neighborhood Pho came out nice and quick but the best part about Turtle Towers pho is the BROTH!!! The flavor and the umami that comes from it is what makes it different. I got the small combo I knew I wasn't able to finish the large. Esp cause I don't want to get food coma since I have to go back to work.
